Will the maintenance be an issue?

Saunas - annual maintenance retouching paint and waxing recommended. But it takes less than a day. Cleaning depends if it's wood burning or electric, but it takes max 30 min.

Hot Tubs - fully wooden tubs require regular maintenance. Ones with a plastic fibre insert are very easy to clean and maintain. You will need to clean ashes from the wood-burning off-grid tubs also.

Is it expensive to run?

If you have access to low-priced wood - wood-burning saunas and hot tub heaters are your low-cost solution.

For electric heated saunas or tubs - you can calculate your costs after few uses and incorporate it in your price or apply extra charge for usage.

How much does it cost?

It depends. We have many styles, sizes and options - hence we recommend referring to hot tub page for prices, and utilise our sauna builder to help you choose the sauna features you require.
